We just delivered another Search Engine Success Class that was co-sponsored by Greater Olean. We will be offering another one in Hamburg that is co-sponsored by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce on April 9th. Over the past several months, we have been implementing a portal for the Olean community. This site which offers full interactivity also showcases our Quicktime virtual tours. You will find tours of Allegany State Park, Rock City Park, Olean High School, sledding at St. Bonaventure and O'Dea's In Allegany. We have more tours coming so check out OleanInfo.com regularly.

We have just brought up 5 new sites in RapidWeb. Proto & Loskey is an accounting firm in Olean and Wellsville. We implemented an innovative customer file upload feature that allows their customers to upload files to accountants at the firm using their browser. When the file is received an e-mail is sent to the firm.
We also launched series of apartment rental sites: Olean Living, Bradford Living, Alfred Living & Edinboro Living. The four sites, with four domains all share a common RapidWeb database that offers a single, backend management system that allows a single web master to easily manage all four sites and to easily share common files.

Olean Medical Group has now gone live with a new RapidWeb. The site uses our photography extensively and offers a comprehensive view of their organization.

BigBrotherAddict.comv3 has now come on line. We are using a sophisticated portal package to manage the site this year. It includes user posted comments, reviews and pictures as well as sophisticated editorial management that allows the admin to accept or reject articles from members and easily post them.

- Jodi has been doing some superb design work of late and we have a couple of new sites:
- Junior Museum of Bay County It was time for a site update and the Junior Museum in Panama City, FL turned to RapidWeb for their new site. If you are traveling that way stop in with your kids for indoor and outdoor interactive learning.
- Hamburg Youth Consortium A number of Hamburg organizations have partnered to develop a website targeted for the youth of their town. While the site is still under construction you can get a sense of this effort. The site will inform the young people of the community what there is to do and where to do it, as well as where to get advice if things aren't going quite right.

- Hey diddle Diddle This site features one of Western New York's most popular Irish fiddle tune band (Jodi and Howard are members of the group but hey I think I can say that they are one of the most popular in Western New York without protests of nepotism...there just aren't that many Irish fiddle tune bands!

- Recent upgrades to Apache and the mail server were accomplished. There was a mail service disruption this past Monday. All is now well and our servers are more secure than ever!

- Blumenthals.com has broken off to become an independant business as Blumenthal's moves out of retail. Blumenthals.com is staffed by Howard, Jodi and Mike Blumenthal and this change will allow us to focus our energies on better serving our RapidWeb, hosting and support customers.

- Register Graphics, the Southern Tiers premier provider of print services has agreed to use Blumenthal's RapidWeb in development of their new web site. Mark Hinman of Register Graphcs also indicated that they are exploring the use of RapidWeb as a strategic basis for future Internet plans.

- Advanced Monolythics' new site has gone live. While there is some work still to do, they have managed to put up 65 pages of so in the last 3 or 4 weeks. Dan Jordan of Advanced Monolythics was honored recently with NYS's Business Person of the Year award.

- We have upgrade out site to run the most current version of PHP...PHP version 4. Simultaneously we have upgraded all current and future RapidWeb to use the industry standard mySQL relational database backend. This makes RapidWeb an even better value. With mySQL, RapidWeb can handle thousands of hits per day without slowing down.

- We have added a new feature, EasyCommerce to RapidWeb that allows for inexpensive electronic order processing. By partnering with PayPal, we can now offer a shopping cart with secure transactions, credit card processing and fraud protection for our RapidWeb customers for a very single low transaction fee.

- MySQL- RapidWeb has always been scalable and capable of handling a large number of pages. It now can handle a large number of hits as well. By using MySQL as a backend database for RapidWeb we should be able to accomodate a very large number of daily hits with minimal stress. - EasyUpload- uploading images to the Internet has been complicated. Until now!. Our EasyUpload feature makes adding images to your website as easy as...well as...point and click!.
- BackUp-a simplified backup routine that doesn't need FTP or complicated downloads and takes but minutes to accomplish. If it isn't fast and it isn't easy, it won't get done...with backups that is surely the case. I suppose that even if they are fast and easy they may still not get done but at least it won't be because its too hard!
